The drive up to chute lake is a 4x4 lovers heaven. The dirt road and the trees that lined it, were all covered in a blanket of freshly fallen snow, giving it that special winter wonderland lustre.

Before I go on, it must be said, that This is definitely a road you want to make sure you have the right vehicle and a set of good snow tires before you tackle- but as long as you are prepared, and drive accodingly you can settle in for a truly magical drive.

from the moment we walked in the door, it felt like the homes of our childhoods; It felt like grandma’s place. Everything from the decor, to the charm of the old school appliances, to the warmth from the wood burning stove… We couldn’t help but want to stay the whole winter through.

whether you’re joining them for breakfast before your snowday adventure, or a crispy chicken burger for lunch or craft cocktails by the fire, or a bowl of baked mac & cheese after a day of cross country skiing or apple cinnamon donuts with ice cream and caramel sauce for dessert - you will fall in love with each of these hand crafted dishes, made with so much love by their incredible chef.
