a sunset at smith rock

So we’ve already been through stops two of three from day 4 of our oregon road trip

  1. coffee.

  2. chase a waterfall.

  3. catch a sunset at smith rock.

so here we are at our final stop of the day… smith rock.

I don’t know what it is about this place that just takes my breath away every time i experience it. it’s just one of those places that feels like it can’t possibly be real. The only way I can describe it is like a natural kingdom of stunning rock formations. no matter where you look, its just jaw dropping.

this place is the definition of a 360 degree view.

I’m not going to lie, we were pretty pooped from our day at this point, but we hoofed it up the mountain anyway. We met a few rad rock climbers and made it to the top just in time to catch sunset.

I’ll never forget the way the light was beaming thruogh the park. How it illuminated the gorgeous farmland and colourful trees in all their fall glory below.

we were so happy to get back to the jeep and head back to our hotel for the evening. tacos + beer was the mood and it hit just right.

all said and done, this day truly felt like a dream. and yet it happened. and i will be forever grateful for it. Here are a few of our favs from the stop.
