hello oregon coast

day 6 of our oregon road trip, we woke up on the coast. it felt a little bit like home, and it the familiarity was really nice.

we had more lofty plans for this day. starting with a drive a couple hours south to bandon where we would try to find stunning beaches, land bridges, and a secret beach.

the oregon coast is just pure, majestic beauty. The whole drive was stunning, but when we rolled into bandon we were a little speechless.

This first spot was a gem, and we don’t even know exactly which beach it was.

this was where we both got our first lesson on exactly what a sneeker wave is… aka - a wave that come up much higher than it appears its going to. within 10 minutes i had boots full of water and no more than 5 minutes later, jeremy was blessed with the same.

we ran with the birds, listened to the waves crash on the shore, walked along the sand…

wet boots worth it.

the first beach was unplanned, but next up on the list of must sees was was gold beach. and it did not disappoint.

we could have easily spent and entire day here, but we had more stops to make and so little time. so it was on to the next…
