Peacefully Slow Days at White Lake Cabins

As the years go by, we find ourselves more and more wondering to ourselves… where did the time go?

Living in the chaos of this modern world, the Time just seems to be flying by quicker and quicker. So we want to make a conscious effort to try and slow it down whenever we can.

the few days we spent at White lake cabins in April, felt so peaceful - It was true slow living in the absolute best way.

tucked away on the shores of crystal clear white lake, these cabins are the serene getaway we all need.

There is a fully equipped kitchen, so pack all your favourite ingredients and cook yourself up some grub. We highly recommend boxed pancake mix, sausages and crispy hashbrowns. Breakfast is good all day long afterall.

Arguably one of our favourite parts about this property was the farm animals. From the clucking chickens to the beautiful horses to the playfully silly little goats - they were endless entertainment. the air was filled with the sounds of their daily antics, and it added so much to the ambiance of our stay.

the sauna was a little slice of luxury. Complete with a view of the majestic horses, and the entertainment stylings of the chickens. you really couldn’t help but drift away into a state of pure relaxation in the peace and warmth of the sauna.

And if you get too warm, there is a cold plung just outside for the brave souls - not to mention the chickens are there to cheer you on when you take your cold plung. What more could you ask for?

One of the most unique things about this property would have to be the crystal clear waters of the lake. It doesn’t take long to realize why it was aptly named white lake.

Take a walk out on the private dock and look down through the water and you will see right to the white sand on the lakes bottom. The glimmering water is so inticing you’ll be fighting to urge to jump right in with all of your clothes on right then and there.

if it’s too cold for a dip, you have other options to get out on the water. there is a communal conoe to paddle around in. So no matter how you decide to soak up the lakes beauty, be sure to sit in silence long enough to hear the pair of loons who have made this lake their home, while they call eloquently to each other in the distance.

and when you’re heart is full from the peace of the lake, head back to your cozy cabin for a campfire and s’mores (ingredients happily provided by the wonderful cabin hosts)

This is one of those stays that you just never want to end, and we were so sad the morning that we left.

if slow living is on your mind, this is the perfect little cabin to get away from the chaos of it all.
