Two nights in Long Beach Washington

We love a fall road trip. Late September / Early october has easily become our favourite time of year to travel.

We made a quick stop in Olympia to check out a coffee shop that has been on our list for a long time - ember goods. Let us assure you, this little shop is well worth the stop. Not only did they have the most delicious salted pumpkin latte that fit the fall vibes just right = but they also have a shop stocked with clothing and goods that will make any PNW dweller swoon.

We also stopped at the Bread Peddler for a fresh loaf of sourdough and a thick slice od Pumpkin Loaf, whose deliciousness spoke for itself.

once we had refuelled with coffees, treats and had a couple new shirts in tow, we were pumped to get to the coast. So we did a quick grocery shop at the local Trader Joe’s and got back on the road!

first things first when we arrived, we had to check out the beach… because you can drive on it, and that is pretty much one of our favourite things to do - not to mention this was Bev’s (our Subaru Crosstrek) first time driving on the beach.

After we spent a couple hours driving a long the beach taking in the scenery and snapping a few ohotos, we checked into our hotel. We were able to buy a couple beers from the front desk (score), before we headed up to our room to heat up a couple of trader joes bean burritos and get cozy for the night.

The next morning we got up early to catch sunrise at the beach - Complete with oceanside coffee and a seagull friend.

Once the sun was up we decided to head into town to try Dylans Cottage bakery and snag a box of their donuts. The buttermilk bar was our personal favourite - would highly recommend to a friend.

That same evening we returned to the beach to catch the sunset.

There are some moments so beautiful in real life, that even the most stunning photo still doesn’t do the scene justice. This was one of those nights. I will treasure the moments we captured on film that night for the rest of my life - but the real life memories i will cherish even more.
