Life at the Mint Experience

Tiny home living anyone?

Jer and I were lucky enough to call this little renovated trailer oasis home for three nights while we visited Salt Spring Island a few weeks back. From the moment we stepped through the gate, and walked down the stone path to the wood deck we instantly wished we could live there.

Aptly named “The Mint Experience” - this little trailer is just that… an experience. The absolute best kind of experience.

As we stepped up into the trailer and set our bags down on the soft bed, we felt instantly at home. It was hard not to feel like it was a dream just being there, surrounded by nothing but trees, flowers and an ocean view.

The faint rolling of the ocean waves, coupled with the crickets and birds were the only sounds to be heard. Our only NEIGHBOuRS were a few sea otters who would playfully greet us every morning, splashing just beyond the shore.

Staying here was a like a dream…

And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, we got the chance to meet out hosts - who were the lovliest little family you could ever imagine. They gave us all the local inside scoops about sights to see, places to eat, farms to visit… Not to mention they brought along a batch a homemade chocolate chip cookies for us to munch during their family photo shoot.
